Buone feste from Lake Como, Italy!! No snow but it’s beautiful here; kinda like a smaller & more historic version of Lake Tahoe, California. And spritz vs. craft beer.
Milano underground street art. Almost got smoked by a car to get this photo taken by @herbaystreetescape.
In Milan for the final shopping weekend before Xmas. I now ask why? Craaaazy!!! Can’t wait to get hack to the mountains.
Pit stop in Northern Italy to smell the Dolomites mountain air. This view is just a short cable car ride up from the amazing village of Bolzano filled with Christmas markets.
Borrowed the hotel bicycles today to go ski gear shopping at this insane mega sports store. I can can verify that Italian ski gear is styling and waaaaay cheaper than in Canada/USA. Stay tuned for upcoming ski holiday pics after Xmas.
A look in from the outside where the streets are beautiful cobblestones, with Christmas lights everywhere. ❤️ Italy.
Seems like all we do lately is eat. I’m 99% sure we love Italian food but need to keep exploring until 100% confident. Will need to follow 2020 New Years resolution to trim down LOL.
Europe in the winter is the best kept secret. No crowds, top hotels for a fraction of high season prices, and major retail discounts.
Replaced our entire summer wardrobe with warmer clothes after two days shopping in Roma! Off to Florence in style (IMO).
After the past 45 days in Arab countries we just needed something more familiar. So we are now in Rome. Of course we didn’t know it was a major holiday here today (Feast of the Immaculate Conception) and got stuck in crowds waiting to see the Pope. It’s not Catholicism we seek; its wine. And cheese. And pasta. We will sleep well tonight. Goodnight.
