That’s the infinity pool overlooking the Dead Sea, and Israel just on the other side. This is the lowest dry land point on Earth ~400 meters below sea level.
If you could smell this experience! Walked by lots of perfumeries in Morocco & Egypt but no English. Finally, kinda, managed to communicate with a gentleman in Jordan today and mixed my very own scent. At a WAY lower price than Tom Ford and likely much better quality.
Canceled our trip to Lebanon given the civil rioting. We wish the people of Lebanon more equality with the ruling elite and hope to one day visit. So we are off to Jordan.
Hilton Luxor is amazing after four hot days of temple visits along the Nile river. Infinity pool is a nice touch and the food is delish. So… we just booked the Hilton Dead Sea coming soon.
Visiting the Valley of the Kings in Luxor is the highlight of Egypt, IMO. Many Kings from over two thousand years ago were mummified and buried in these deep tombs. Some of the walls are still coloured. Truly remarkable.
Beautiful sunset in Giza tonight, notwithstanding the smog. Very cool that these pyramids are a 30 minute Uber from our hotel on the other side of the Nile River in Cairo. Insane.
You must walk around Cairo to experience the buzz of the city. The people were very friendly, as were the drivers as we played frogger crossing the road. Scary.
