After a rainy few days, got to see the sunset over the mountains while visiting another Christmas market only a 12 minute cable car away from where we are staying.
Pit stop in Northern Italy to smell the Dolomites mountain air. This view is just a short cable car ride up from the amazing village of Bolzano filled with Christmas markets.
Borrowed the hotel bicycles today to go ski gear shopping at this insane mega sports store. I can can verify that Italian ski gear is styling and waaaaay cheaper than in Canada/USA. Stay tuned for upcoming ski holiday pics after Xmas.
A look in from the outside where the streets are beautiful cobblestones, with Christmas lights everywhere. ❤️ Italy.
Now that we are in Italy, the food posts have begun, as it’s just too good not to share. Modena doesn’t have a big tourist scene but Italians visit this town for the food- I can understand why 😍
Seems like all we do lately is eat. I’m 99% sure we love Italian food but need to keep exploring until 100% confident. Will need to follow 2020 New Years resolution to trim down LOL.
Back on the famous bridge where @hisbaystreetescape purchased my wedding band. 😍this time in winter when it’s a lot less hectic and more enjoyable to window shop.
Europe in the winter is the best kept secret. No crowds, top hotels for a fraction of high season prices, and major retail discounts.
